April 12, 2022 by admin Grandma’s House is a home for pregnant and parenting young mothers and their children When a pregnant young mother comes to Grandma’s House, she feels she is at the end of the road; homeless, hungry, tired. She may only be looking for a hot meal and a safe place to sleep. At Grandma’s House she will find hope and a path to a future she did not know existed. Some will stay a night, some will stay 2 years, all say their lives were improved by their experience. They enter our program to carry out healthy full-term pregnancies, learn to parent an infant/child already born, or to complete a successful adoption. While at the house, they can continue their education and gain the necessary life-skills for a smooth transition into independent living or a safe return to family. WE HAVE ACHIEVED ACCREDITATION THROUGH THE COUNCIL ON ACCREDITATION (COA)! WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR TEAM FOR THIS AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT. COA ACCREDITATION MEANS THAT ALL J BAR J YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAMS, SERVICES, ADMINISTRATION, AND MANAGEMENT HAVE BEEN RIGOROUSLY EVALUATED AND MEET BEST PRACTICE STANDARDS.
