Grandma’s House is a home for pregnant and parenting young mothers and their children
When a pregnant young mother comes to Grandma’s House, she feels she is at the end of the road; homeless, hungry, tired. She may only be looking for a hot meal and a safe place to sleep. At Grandma’s House she will find hope and a path to a future she did not know existed. Some will stay a night, some will stay 2 years, all say their lives were improved by their experience. They enter our program to carry out healthy full-term pregnancies, learn to parent an infant/child already born, or to complete a successful adoption. While at the house, they can continue their education and gain the necessary life-skills for a smooth transition into independent living or a safe return to family.
We have achieved accreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA)! We are so proud of our team for this amazing accomplishment. COA accreditation means that all J Bar J Youth Services programs, services, administration, and management have been rigorously evaluated and meet best practice standards for human services organizations.
